Clicks Debuts New Smartphone and $79 iPhone Keyboard

For many of us, the ghost of the BlackBerry still lingers. There’s a specific kind of productivity—a “flow state”—that only comes with the tactile click of physical buttons. Today, Clicks Technology just made a massive bet that the world is finally ready to stop tapping on glass and start clicking again.

In a dual announcement ahead of CES 2026, Clicks introduced two ambitious new products: the Clicks Communicator, a dedicated message-centric smartphone, and the Clicks Power Keyboard, a $79 magnetic accessory that brings physical keys to almost any modern phone.

Rather than trying to replace your iPhone 17 or Galaxy S26, Clicks is pitching the Communicator as a companion device. It’s designed for “communication, not consumption.”

  • The Design: It’s a compact, candybar-style device featuring a 4-inch AMOLED display and a full, backlit QWERTY keyboard. It looks and feels like a modern reimagining of the classic BlackBerry Bold.
  • The Software: Running Android 16 with a customized “Niagara Launcher” interface, the phone prioritizes your messages and emails over doom-scrolling. It lacks the typical app-grid clutter, focusing instead on a unified messaging hub.
  • Hardware Enthusiast’s Dream: In a world of disappearing ports, the Communicator brings back the 3.5mm headphone jack and includes a microSD slot supporting up to 2TB. It also features a “Signal LED”—a customizable light on the side button that tells you who’s messaging you without needing to check the screen.
  • Price: Available for an early-bird price of $399 (regularly $499).

If you aren’t ready to carry two phones, Clicks has a solution for your current one. The Power Keyboard is a universal, magnetic snap-on keyboard that works with any MagSafe or Qi2-compatible device.

  • Slide-to-Type: Unlike previous Clicks cases that lived on your phone permanently, the Power Keyboard uses a sliding mechanism. It stays tucked behind your phone until you need it, sliding out to provide a full keyboard with a dedicated number row.
  • Battery Boost: As the name suggests, it packs a 2,150 mAh battery. While primarily used to power the keyboard and its backlighting, it can also provide a 5W wireless “emergency top-up” to your phone’s battery.
  • Beyond the Phone: Because it connects via Bluetooth 5.4, you aren’t limited to using it with a smartphone. You can pair it with an iPad, a Smart TV (goodbye, clunky on-screen password entry!), or even AR/VR headsets like the Apple Vision Pro.
  • Early Bird Offer: You can pre-order it now for $79, with shipping expected this spring.
