Versace has revisited the DV One to create a 20th Anniversary Edition – a one-of-240 piece watch celebrating two decadent decades since the launch of the original.
First introduced in 2005, the DV One was a milestone for Versace, becoming the brand’s first timepiece crafted from high-tech ceramic. Suitably noughties in design, it stood out for its bold case, glossy black finish, signature Medusa emblem and Greca detailing, helping define Versace’s unapologetic approach to Swiss-made fashion watches.
The 2025 anniversary edition retains the ceramic identity of the original but introduces several updates. The 40mm black ceramic case is paired with a matching ceramic bracelet and now houses a Swiss-made automatic movement, the Landeron DP24, marking a technical evolution from earlier generations of the DV One.
The dial also differs from the 2005 model. It features a black enamel base with a gold-tone 3D Barocco pattern, drawn from Versace’s archives. Four diamonds are set into the dial as hour markers, with a fifth diamond placed into the crown, while the Versace logo appears at 3 o’clock. Understated, this is not.
In keeping with its status, this is a strictly limited release. Only 240 pieces have been produced worldwide, retailing at approximately $4,550. It is currently available at select Versace boutiques and high-end retailers like Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s.
