Now Accepting Reservations: Timeless Heritage Meets Modern Luxury at the New Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena

For years, the vibrant, sun-drenched streets of Cartagena have whispered stories of colonial romance and Caribbean flair. Now, those stories are entering a sophisticated new chapter. As of January 15, 2026, the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena has officially opened its doors for reservations, with stays beginning in May 2026.

Located in the heart of the artistic Getsemaní neighborhood—just steps from the UNESCO-listed Walled City—this is not just a hotel; it is a meticulous restoration of Cartagena’s soul.

“This project is one of true passion as we transform incredible historic buildings in a remarkable destination, preparing them for the next chapter in their story while we continue to grow our presence in Colombia,” says Antoine Chahwan, Four Seasons President, Hotel Operations – Americas. “Together with our owner partners, San Francisco Investments, and a dedicated team of visionary creatives, culinarians and hoteliers, we are thrilled to deliver a personalized and distinctly Four Seasons experience in an extraordinary setting.”

The hotel’s enduring design was crafted by celebrated French designer François Catroux, known and awarded for blending timeless elegance with inviting comfort for prominent figures and tastemakers around the world. Catroux’s work with Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena was one of his final projects. Famously selective, only taking on projects that inspired him, the property is among the very few hospitality commissions he ever undertook, underscoring its significance.

Four Seasons Cartagena isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a social epicenter. The hotel will debut eight unique dining concepts, including:

  • An Authentic Neapolitan Pizzeria: Traditional wood-fired flavors.
  • A Classic American Steakhouse: Fine cuts in a historic setting.
  • The City’s First Speakeasy: A hidden, intimate bar for rare spirits.
  • The Rooftop Bar & Pools: Two rooftop swimming pools offering 360-degree views of the Caribbean Sea and the iconic Clock Tower.

At the heart of the hotel lies the UMARI Spa, featuring six treatment rooms and rituals rooted in indigenous Colombian healing traditions. For the active traveler, a 24/7 state-of-the-art fitness center is available to keep you energized.

Whether you are looking to book a once-in-a-lifetime Caribbean getaway or seeking a permanent home within the 16 Private Residences, the arrival of Four Seasons marks a defining moment for Cartagena. It is a place where you can touch the stones of the 16th century while enjoying the pinnacle of 21st-century service.
