Apple has unveiled MacBook Neo, a new entry-level laptop designed to make the Mac experience more affordable than ever. Starting at $599 ($499 for education), it’s Apple’s most affordable laptop to date and is available for pre-order now, with release beginning March 11.
MacBook Neo features a durable aluminum design in four colors — blush, indigo, silver, and citrus — along with a 13-inch Liquid Retina display supporting high resolution, brightness, and 1 billion colors.
Powered by the A18 Pro chip, it delivers up to 50% faster everyday performance and up to 3x faster on-device AI processing compared to a bestselling PC with Intel Core Ultra 5. It offers up to 16 hours of battery life.
Additional features include:
- 1080p FaceTime HD camera and dual microphones
- Dual side-firing speakers with Spatial Audio
- Magic Keyboard and large Multi-Touch trackpad
- macOS Tahoe with built-in apps, Apple Intelligence, iPhone integration, and broad third-party app support
Apple says MacBook Neo delivers premium design, strong performance, AI capabilities, and all-day battery life at a breakthrough price, making the Mac more accessible to millions of users worldwide.
