Tomorrow, Apple will unveil its much-anticipated iPhone 17 during their September event. With exciting features, cutting-edge technology, and a new design, this release marks a significant evolution in their smartphone lineup. Expect innovations in camera capabilities, processing power, and overall user experience, all aimed at solidifying Apple’s position in the smartphone market.
iPhone 17
Apple’s iPhone event is set to redefine smartphone technology with the iPhone 17 and its impressive array of features. The A19 chip will enhance performance, while the new camera systems promise exceptional quality. As Apple continues to innovate, tomorrow’s event will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on consumers and the tech industry alike.
AirPods Pro 3
Details of the upgraded charging case for the AirPods Pro 3 leaked last month, so these are also a product with a high likelihood of making an appearance Tuesday. It has been three years since Apple has updated this line. Among the expected new features are a temperature sensor and heart-rate monitoring. Real-time translation, a feature that Samsung boasts with its Galaxy Buds 3 FE and that Google offers with its Pixel Buds, could be introduced as well, though reports have been mixed on whether Apple is ready to unveil this feature right now.
Apple Watch updates
A new Apple Watch isn’t guaranteed to be announced, but historically, Apple has rolled out new generations alongside its latest phones. Two years ago, for instance, it introduced the double tap feature on the Series 9, allowing owners to answer a call by tapping their index and thumb together.
This year, expect an increase in the watch line’s specs, with a faster processor, shorter charging times and new cases. Expect new band offerings and a brighter screen as well for both the Apple Watch Series 11. The Apple Watch SE, the entry-level line, which starts at $249, is also expected to get an update with a faster chip and a more modern look.
The high-end Apple Watch Ultra line could see the addition of satellite connectivity and maybe even 5G, which would allow you to send and receive text messages without having your phone on you. It will have a slightly larger screen and an upgraded processor chip as well.
AirTag updates
An update to the AirTag is something of a wildcard, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility. The original launched in 2021, so we’re long due for the AirTag 2. And since the device tends to work hand in hand with the iPhone, that makes this presentation the likely place to unveil them. If so, look for a tracker with a wider range, allowing you to locate things from further distances.
Hints of future products
The September event typically isn’t the only Apple showcase of new products. There’s often one in October, as well, where new iPads (particularly the iPad Pro), Apple TV set-top boxes, and other devices, like the Vision Pro, are showcased.
We’re unlikely to hear about any new products in those category lines this week, but the company could throw a teaser to keep buyers hooked until that event (which has not been announced yet, it’s worth noting) takes place.
