Two decades ago, Bugatti unleashed a vehicle that didn’t just push boundaries—it obliterated them, creating an entirely new segment: the hypercar. The Veyron effortlessly blended unparalleled grace with mind-bending performance, recalibrating our understanding of what was scientifically possible in an automobile.
To mark this monumental 20th anniversary and celebrate the modern-day renaissance of the brand, Bugatti has been orchestrating festivities worldwide. From the passionate Bugatti Festival in Molsheim to the exclusive Bugatti Petit Tour for discerning owners, the legacy of the Veyron has been front and center.
Last weekend, the celebrations journeyed across the Atlantic to the glittering lights of Las Vegas, where the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas hosted an truly historic event: the largest-ever gathering of Veyron examples in the world.

Imagine the scene: amidst the inimitable style of downtown Las Vegas, a mesmerizing collection of 47 Veyron masterpieces assembled on the illustrious Friends of Wynn lawn. This wasn’t just a car show; it was a vibrant tapestry of automotive art, honoring two decades of hypercar innovation. Each vehicle, from the striking all-black Veyron Sang Noir with its unique red interior to the groundbreaking Veyron Sang Bleu (the first Bugatti adorned with blue carbon), told a story of bespoke craftsmanship and relentless pursuit of perfection.
The display was a connoisseur’s dream, featuring gems like the hand-painted Veyron ‘Vagues de Lumière,’ which recently inspired two bespoke Sur Mesure Chiron Super Sport models also present. Examples from the beautiful ‘Les Légendes de Bugatti’ edition paid tribute to marque heroes, while milestone cars like the iconic world top speed record-breaking Veyron Super Sport stood as testaments to engineering prowess. Many proudly bore the “La Maison Pur Sang” certification, affirming their authenticity and meticulously preserved history.

At the main Bugatti stand, a gleaming white Veyron Super Sport shone under the Nevada sun, surrounded by the Veyron’s modern descendants: the Chiron, Divo, Centodieci, Bolide, W16 Mistral, and the revolutionary V16-engine Tourbillon. Each car, powered by or inspired by the legendary W16 engine that first roared in the Veyron, offered a testament to its enduring influence.
The festivities culminated in an exquisite reception where Veyron owners shared treasured stories and lifelong memories with Bugatti Automobiles President Christophe Piochon (who was involved in the Veyron’s early development) and Design Director Frank Heyl. As Christophe Piochon noted, “The story of the Veyron is one that will be told through generations upon generations to come; a tale of an engineering masterpiece that defied convention, broke new ground, and realized the impossible dream… That was a dream that has gone on to inspire countless minds around the world, and establish a line of hypercars that has reinforced the aura of Bugatti.”

As the Las Vegas sun rose, another indelible moment was etched into history. The legendary gathering of Bugatti vehicles embarked on a majestic Tour d’Elegance down the iconic Las Vegas Strip. Past legendary landmarks, a kaleidoscope of captivating liveries and bespoke designs turned heads, each hypercar leaving unique brushstrokes along the Strip, creating an unforgettable work of automotive art.
This incredible event at Wynn Las Vegas wasn’t just a celebration of a car; it was a tribute to an icon that changed everything, a testament to Bugatti’s enduring legacy of innovation, luxury, and breathtaking performance. The Veyron’s spirit, encapsulated in Ettore Bugatti’s immortal words, “If comparable, it is no longer Bugatti,” truly lives on.
