Introducing the Porsche Cayenne Electric

Porsche has unveiled the Cayenne Electric, a fully-electric SUV that doesn’t just embrace the future of mobility—it detonates it. Combining the nameplate’s legendary “all-rounder” capability with electrifying new power and technology, the Cayenne Electric sets a new benchmark for the luxury performance SUV segment.

The numbers speak for themselves. The new electric Cayenne, especially in its Cayenne Turbo Electric guise, is not just fast—it’s the most powerful production Porsche of all time.

Here is a deep dive into the innovations that make this the most consequential Cayenne yet.

  • Mind-Blowing Power: The Turbo Electric variant delivers up to a staggering 1,139 horsepower (850 kW) with launch control engaged, propelling the SUV from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 2.4 seconds. This places the Cayenne in rarefied air, matching the acceleration of some of the world’s most extreme supercars.
  • Formula E-Inspired Efficiency: Power is nothing without control and efficiency. The Cayenne Electric incorporates innovations directly from Porsche’s Formula E program, achieving an exceptional 600 kW of recuperation power during braking. Performance and sustainability are no longer a compromise.

For a vehicle designed for both the daily drive and long-distance comfort, charging must be seamless and fast. The Cayenne Electric delivers revolutionary charging capability built on an advanced 800-volt architecture.

  • Blazing Fast Charging: Under ideal conditions, the new model can achieve charging power of up to 400 kW. This means adding over 180 miles of range in just 10 minutes or charging the 113 kWh battery from 10% to 80% in less than 16 minutes.
  • Range-Optimized Battery: The new function-integrated high-voltage battery has been seamlessly incorporated into the body structure, increasing rigidity and lowering the center of gravity—essential for that signature Porsche handling. Initial tests show a range of up to 398 miles (WLTP) on the base model, ensuring true long-distance capability.
  • Wireless Charging (Optional): Setting a new standard for convenience, the Cayenne Electric is the first Porsche to optionally support 11 kW inductive charging. Simply park over the floor plate, and the vehicle automatically detects, aligns, and lowers itself to begin charging, entirely without a cable.

The cabin of the Cayenne Electric is completely redefined, blending physical control with the brand’s most advanced digital concept yet:

  • The Flow Display: A stunning, elegantly curved 14.25-inch OLED display seamlessly integrates into the dashboard, providing the largest digital surface ever seen in a Porsche. This digital heart offers clear, intuitive control over driving, navigation, and infotainment.
  • Enhanced Comfort: The interior features electrically adjustable rear seats, an innovative radiant heating system for efficiency, and new Mood Modes that orchestrate lighting, climate, sound, and seat functions to create immersive driving atmospheres.
  • AI-Powered Voice Assistant: A highly sophisticated voice assistant understands complex instructions and spontaneous follow-up questions, making digital interaction natural and intuitive.

The Cayenne Electric is not a replacement for its combustion-engine and plug-in hybrid siblings—it’s an expansion. It represents the pinnacle of Porsche’s E-Performance, offering a choice that allows customers to select the perfect powertrain for their needs while enjoying the performance, comfort, and versatility the Cayenne name is built upon.

The Cayenne Electric models are available to order now. MSRP for the Cayenne Electric is $109,000, and $163,000 for the Cayenne Turbo Electric.
