The luxury home furnishings landscape in Metro Detroit has been irrevocably changed with the unveiling of RH Detroit, The Gallery in Birmingham. More than just a retail store, this massive, four-level destination is the latest expression of RH’s (formerly Restoration Hardware) quest to blend residential design, hospitality, and a fully immersive sensory experience.

Located in the vibrant community of Birmingham, this 60,000-square-foot structure is a stunning architectural achievement, marking a new era for both the brand and the region’s design scene.

RH Detroit, The Gallery is a testament to the brand’s vision of blurring the lines between residential and retail, indoors and outdoors, home and hospitality. It’s designed not as a showroom, but as a living, breathing design gallery where artistic installations of RH collections are seamlessly integrated with rare art, antiques, and artifacts from across the globe.

The exterior itself is a masterpiece, featuring a custom Italian brick façade, dramatic glass elements, and towering 10-foot glass and bronze-finished doors that welcome visitors into a Great Room characterized by majestic floor-to-ceiling columns and tiered crystal chandeliers.

RH Interiors & RH Modern: The lower levels present a classical arrangement of rooms showcasing the brand’s comprehensive design ethos. Here, you’ll find everything from the refined designs of RH Interiors—an homage to enduring styles—to the tribute to 20th-century modernism found in the RH Modern collection.
RH Interior Design Studio: The third level serves as an interactive workspace for clients and designers. This hub features private presentation rooms with state-of-the-art technology and comprehensive design libraries, offering the ultimate resource for residential projects, from Detroit to Dubai.

RH Outdoor: This level integrates stunning outdoor lounge spaces, featuring pleached London plane trees, shade canopies, sculptural evergreens, and French limestone fire tables, showcasing the sophistication of outdoor living.

A signature feature of the new gallery is the spectacular RH Rooftop Restaurant, set on the fourth floor. This space transforms dining into a serene escape:
A Skylit Garden: The restaurant is housed beneath a dramatic glass-and-steel atrium, creating a year-round, skylit garden atmosphere.
Cuisine: The menu is a curated selection of American and Mediterranean classics, complemented by an exposition kitchen, a wine bar clad in natural Taj Mahal stone, and a selection of Champagnes and wines.

Rooftop Views: The indoor restaurant opens onto a beautifully landscaped rooftop offering sweeping views of downtown Birmingham.
RH Detroit, The Gallery in Birmingham is located at 300 S. Old Woodward Avenue.
