Apple has introduced the new iPad Air powered by the M4 chip, offering major performance gains at the same starting price. The M4 delivers up to 30% faster performance than the M3 version and 2.3× faster than the M1 model, with improved AI processing thanks to a faster Neural Engine, higher memory bandwidth, and 50% more unified memory. The device also includes new N1 chip and C1X chip connectivity chips supporting Wi-Fi 7, ensuring fast wireless and cellular connections.
Available in 11-inch and 13-inch models with four finishes, the new iPad Air pairs power with portability. Running iPadOS 26, it supports Apple Pencil Pro, Magic Keyboard, advanced cameras, and offers all-day battery life — making it ideal for students, creators, business users, and gamers alike.
The new iPad Air starts at $599 for the 11-inch model and $799 for the 13-inch model, maintaining the same starting prices as before. For education customers, prices begin at $549 and $749 respectively. Pre-orders open Wednesday, March 4, with availability starting Wednesday, March 11.
