Dom Pérignon Collaborates With Takashi Murakami

Dom Pérignon has announced its highly anticipated artistic collaboration with Japanese contemporary maestro, Takashi Murakami. The partnership sees the iconic Champagne house embrace Murakami’s vibrant, joyful, and instantly recognizable “smiling flowers” to reimagine its exquisite limited-edition bottles and packaging.

This release is the latest chapter in Dom Pérignon’s rich history of aligning with artistic visionaries, following in the footsteps of legends like Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, and Lady Gaga. However, the fusion of the minimalist, dark elegance of the Dom Pérignon shield with the kaleidoscopic, kawaii energy of Murakami’s Superflat aesthetic creates a tension that is truly unique.

A Vibrant New Vintage

Murakami’s floral explosion adorns two exceptional cuvées for the 2025 holiday season:

  • Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015: The Blanc expression is wrapped in a vibrant, fantastical floral landscape, transforming the bottle into a piece of collectible art that bridges the gap between high culture and pop sensibility.
  • Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010: The Rosé bottle is given an even more intense, rose-hued interpretation of the smiling flower motif, perfectly reflecting the wine’s depth and radical personality.

The collaboration goes beyond the bottle itself. The accompanying gift boxes are designed to be modular, allowing collectors to place them side-by-side to form a continuous, jubilant floral tableau—a true artistic installation in your collection.

Transcending Time, Changing History

For both the Champagne House and the artist, the collaboration is an exploration of time and legacy. Murakami, known for works that challenge the boundaries between fine art and commercial design, commented that the project was meant to express a form of time travel.

“My goal is to remain relevant in 100 or 200 years and to transcend time,” Murakami said. “When the label has aged, and I am gone… I hope that people of the future, when they see it, will reimagine 2025 in their own minds.”

Dom Pérignon’s Cellar Master echoes this sentiment, viewing the brand’s heritage not as a fixed entity, but as a transmission that evolves through time. This partnership is a powerful visual statement that celebrates the eternal journey of creation, whether achieved through the patient aging of a vintage or the relentless pursuit of artistic originality.

Collectors and art lovers can now toast to this bold convergence of two masters, securing a piece of pop culture history that is as exquisite to the palate as it is to the eye. This limited edition is set to become one of the most sought-after collaborations in both the art and luxury worlds.
