Honor unveiled the Honor Magic V6 ahead of MWC in Barcelona, featuring a large 6,600 mAh battery and a stronger new hinge. The company continues its push to claim the title of thinnest foldable, with the V6 measuring just 4mm when unfolded and 8.75mm when folded—slightly slimmer than last year’s Magic V5 (4.1mm unfolded, 8.8mm folded).
The Honor Magic V6 stands out for its upgraded 6,600 mAh battery, up from 5,820 mAh, with 80W wired and 66W wireless charging via SuperCharge. Honor also introduced new silicon-carbon battery technology with 32% silicon density, potentially enabling foldables to exceed 7,000 mAh in the future.
The device features a 7.95-inch main AMOLED display (2352 × 2172) and a 6.52-inch cover screen (2420 × 1080), both supporting LTPO 2.0 adaptive refresh rates from 1–120Hz for improved efficiency and smoother performance.
Honor equipped the Magic V6 with a new Super Steel Hinge rated at 2,800 MPa for improved durability, reduced the display crease depth by 44% for a smoother look, and added an anti-reflective outer screen coating with 1.5% reflectivity.
It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The camera setup includes a 50MP main, 64MP telephoto, and 50MP ultrawide rear cameras, plus dual 20MP front cameras.
Honor is adding stronger cross-device compatibility with Apple products on the Magic V6. The foldable supports two-way notification syncing with iPhones, can display notifications on an Apple Watch, enables one-tap file sharing with Macs, and can function as an extended display for a Mac.
Pricing hasn’t been announced, but the Magic V6 is set to launch in select international markets in the second half of the year.
