Porsche 911 GT3 Receives Track-Focused Update with New Manthey Kit

For those who believe the standard Porsche 911 GT3 (992.2) is somehow “too tame,” Porsche and long-standing motorsport partner Manthey Racing have the answer. The new Manthey Kit has officially arrived, bringing a comprehensive suite of aerodynamic and chassis upgrades designed to shave seconds where it counts: the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

A 911 GT3 equipped with the new Manthey Kit lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:52.981 minutes. That is roughly 2.8 seconds faster than its predecessor equipped with the previous Manthey package.

The most visible changes are in the aerodynamics. Manthey’s engineers have reworked the car to deliver massive downforce—up to 1,190 lbs (540 kg) at 177 mph in the most aggressive track setting.

To handle the increased aerodynamic load, the suspension required a serious rethink. The kit includes a four-way adjustable coilover suspension developed specifically for this car.

Drivers can adjust rebound and compression damping without tools, allowing for quick pit-lane tweaks. Furthermore, the spring rates on the front axle have been increased by 10% compared to the previous kit. This stiffness ensures the car remains stable under high aerodynamic loads and allows drivers to attack curbs with greater confidence.

Stopping power is just as critical as cornering speed. The kit includes braided steel brake lines as standard, ensuring a consistent pedal feel even as temperatures spike. For those running the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), special racing brake pads are available as an option.

To reduce unsprung mass, Manthey also offers a set of lightweight forged wheels, which shave off approximately 16 lbs (7.3 kg) compared to the standard wheel set.

This upgrade is expected to be available at authorized Porsche Centers starting March 2026.
