For 2027, Lexus is expanding its electrified lineup with the new Lexus TZ, its first three-row all-electric AWD SUV. Built on the TNGA platform, the TZ is designed to combine engaging driving performance with premium comfort and versatility for a wide range of lifestyles. It offers two lithium-ion battery choices—76.96 kWh and 95.82 kWh—and uses an upgraded DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive system for improved control and responsiveness. The SUV also features a reinforced body structure for better ride stability and handling, along with the advanced Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 suite for enhanced safety and convenience.

The Lexus TZ introduces a “Driving Lounge” concept that combines spacious, lounge-like comfort with the engaging driving experience expected from Lexus. Its dedicated BEV platform and open cabin layout create a quiet, roomy interior for all passengers, while still delivering smooth electric performance and responsive handling. The sculpted exterior blends aerodynamic efficiency with elegant styling to improve range and performance. Inside, sustainable Forged Bamboo trim from Shikoku Island highlights Lexus’ focus on craftsmanship and eco-conscious materials. Overall, the TZ is designed to make travel more relaxing, emotional, and enjoyable for families and passengers alike.

The Lexus TZ debuts the newest Lexus Interface multimedia system, featuring sharper graphics, faster performance, a more intuitive interface, and 5G connectivity through AT&T. New technology highlights include customizable home-screen widgets, an upgraded “Hey Lexus” voice assistant, full-screen navigation in the digital gauge cluster, and EV-focused tools like Charge Management, EV Routing, and an EV Range Map for easier electric driving. The TZ also offers a Drive Recorder for capturing external camera footage, along with entertainment features such as SiriusXM with 360L, Spotify streaming integration, and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The Lexus TZ marks Lexus’ first-ever three-row all-electric SUV, arriving for the 2027 model year with an estimated range of up to 300 miles on select trims. Inspired by the “Driving Lounge” concept, the TZ combines a quiet, spacious cabin with engaging performance, featuring standard DIRECT4 AWD and available Dynamic Rear Steering for improved handling and stability. Luxury highlights include a panoramic roof with scenic visibility for all three rows, sustainable Forged Bamboo interior detailing, ventilated seats with available second-row power ottomans, and the latest Lexus Interface multimedia system. The SUV also comes equipped with Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 and is expected to go on sale by the end of 2026.
