2026 Bentley Continental GT S Reveal

Bentley has officially expanded its fourth-generation Continental lineup with the debut of the Continental GT S and GTC S. Drawing direct inspiration from the legendary Supersports, these new models are engineered specifically for those who prioritize a raw, engaging driving experience without sacrificing grand touring refinement.

The new S models are powered by a High Performance Hybrid system that produces a staggering 680 PS and 930 Nm—a significant 130 PS jump over the outgoing GT S. This powertrain delivers relentless acceleration, hitting 0–60 mph in a mere 3.3 seconds (0–100 km/h in 3.5s) and reaching a top speed of 190 mph. The experience is heightened by a sports exhaust that brings the 4.0-litre V8’s crossplane growl to life. In a true feat of engineering, this hybrid setup actually surpasses the previous generation’s flagship W12 Speed in power, torque, and overall performance, yet remains capable of 50 miles (80 km) of silent, pure electric range.

To handle this massive output, Bentley has equipped the S models with the Bentley Performance Active Chassis, technology previously reserved for the Speed and Mulliner variants. This elite setup includes:

  • Precision Control: Active All-Wheel Drive, torque vectoring across both axles, and an electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD).
  • Dynamic Handling: All-wheel steering for sharper cornering and 48V Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll bars.
  • Refined Suspension: Advanced twin-valve dampers and next-generation ESC software.

Together, these features represent Bentley’s most sophisticated and driver-oriented AWD chassis, specifically tuned to maximize sporting agility and driver engagement.

The new S models announce their sporting intent through a “lean and potent” aesthetic. The standard Blackline Specification replaces traditional brightware with aggressive gloss black accents on the matrix grilles, Bentley wings, and exterior lettering. This dark theme extends to the Beluga black mirror caps, sill extensions, and rear diffuser, while the exclusive dark-tint LED matrix headlamps—a detail shared only with the GT Speed—and tinted taillamps further sharpen the car’s presence. Anchoring its stance are standard 22-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels, available in silver, full gloss black, or a black-and-machined finish.

Bentley’s grand touring lineup offers a spectrum of experiences tailored to every driver, ranging from the wellness-centric Azure to the raw power of the GT Speed. The new Continental GT S models carve out their own distinct niche within this family, merging a striking exterior presence with a specialized interior and a high-performance chassis. By prioritizing a sporting aesthetic and the pure thrill of the drive, the S models provide a compelling new choice for those who view the definitive grand tourer through a lens of total engagement.
