In a landmark move that’s set to shake up the luxury fashion world, Christian Louboutin has named Jaden Smith as its first-ever Men’s Creative Director. This appointment is a major milestone for the iconic French house, known for its signature red soles, and signals a bold, new direction for its men’s universe.
Louboutin’s men’s line, which was launched over 15 years ago, has grown to be a significant part of the brand’s business. Now, with Jaden Smith at the helm, the company is poised to redefine its identity and narrative in the men’s market.
The collaboration seems like a natural fit. Smith, a multi-talented artist, actor, and musician, has long been a trailblazer in fashion, known for his gender-fluid style and fearless approach to dressing. He’s previously modeled for brands like Louis Vuitton and co-founded his own fashion label, MSFTSrep. This history of pushing boundaries and his distinct creative vision align perfectly with the daring spirit of the Louboutin brand.
Christian Louboutin himself was inspired by Smith’s “inventive spirit” and “cultural sensibility,” noting that their connection was built on a mutual respect for creative freedom. Smith will be responsible for overseeing four annual collections, covering shoes, leather goods, and accessories, while also shaping the brand’s campaigns and overall aesthetic.
In a statement, Louboutin spoke about Smith’s new role at his company, “I found him very interesting, very kind, and very, very humble, and above all, very interesting: The way he is, the way he dresses, the way he thinks.” Smith told WWD, “This is the one of the biggest honors of my life, and I feel a lot of pressure to be able to live up to everything that Christian has done for the house, and also stepping into such a serious role. When he reached out to me, I was just blown away, because of how similar we are and how much we like to do things in a similar manner. I can’t wait to show the world what we’ve been working on. I think that the universe of Christian Louboutin men’s has so much potential.”
Fans won’t have to wait long to see the results of this exciting partnership. Smith’s first capsule collection is set to drop in select boutiques and online in January 2026, with his full debut collection to be revealed at Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 Paris Fashion Week.
This move is more than just a new hire; it’s a statement. It shows a legacy brand embracing a new generation and a fresh perspective. The world will be watching to see what this dynamic duo creates next.
