Ram has officially unveiled the 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX, and it hasn’t just returned—it has evolved into a segment-shattering monster.
If you thought the “Last Call” was the end of the line, think again. The TRX is back to reclaim its throne as the fastest and most powerful production gas pickup truck on the planet.

The headline figure is impossible to ignore. Ram engineers didn’t just bring back the legendary 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI® V8; they overhauled it. By raiding the SRT performance parts bin and utilizing revised engine management, the new TRX delivers a staggering 777 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque.
The TRX isn’t just a “straight-line” hero, though its 0–60 mph time of 3.5 seconds is faster than many dedicated sports cars. It’s a complete performance package designed to dominate both the pavement and the desert dunes.
- Upgraded Transmission: The TorqueFlite 8HP95 eight-speed automatic has been “uprated” to handle the massive torque increase, offering crisper shifts and a manual mode for total driver control.
- Active Terrain Dynamics: Utilizing second-generation Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive shocks, the TRX monitors driver input and terrain 200 times per second to provide 13 inches of front and 14 inches of rear suspension travel.
- Baja Mode: When the pavement ends, the dedicated Baja mode recalibrates the 4WD system, steering, and damping to handle high-speed desert running with ease.

Inside, the SRT TRX proves that you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for carnage. The cabin is wrapped in premium leather and carbon fiber, featuring a massive 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen—the largest in its class.
To celebrate the relaunch, Ram introduced the Bloodshot Night Edition, featuring an exclusive Blacktop paint scheme with a bold Flame Red hood stripe. It’s a visual warning to anything else on the road: the apex predator is hungry.
The 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX is expected to arrive in showrooms in the second half of 2026. With a starting MSRP of approximately $99,995, it manages to undercut the Ford Raptor R while providing significantly more power.
