Polestar has revealed plans to introduce four new models from 2026 to 2028, marking the most extensive product rollout in the Swedish EV manufacturer’s history. The company also forecasts low double-digit retail sales growth in 2026, driven by a 30% expansion of its retail network.
The Polestar 5, a four-door grand tourer built on a bonded aluminium platform, is set to begin deliveries in summer 2026. Later that year, Polestar plans to introduce a new variant of the Polestar 4, positioned as a blend of estate-like practicality and SUV versatility, with customer deliveries scheduled to start in the fourth quarter.
A next-generation Polestar 2 is targeted for launch in early 2027, replacing the sedan that has sold more than 190,000 units since its debut. Looking further ahead, the Polestar 7 — a compact SUV — is slated for 2028. The company notes that compact SUVs represented roughly one-third of total European battery-electric vehicle volumes in 2025, adding that the new model will be manufactured in Europe.
Chief Executive Michael Lohscheller said the expansion follows the company’s strongest-ever sales year. “After achieving our best retail sales performance to date, we are initiating the largest product offensive in Polestar’s history, bringing four premium electric vehicles to market within three years. We are focusing on the core of the EV segment, where demand and profitability are strongest.”
Polestar confirmed that 2025 marked its highest annual retail sales on record.
